How fortunate are we today,
That this is that wonderful day,
Ten years for which we have been waiting for,
At last God has paved the way!
This is like a dream come true,
In our neighbourhood will sparkle a grey hue,
Levelling out every hurdle and deep,
People here are feeling like the luckiest few!
Every crack and hole will be flattened out,
Every nook and cranny will shine no doubt,
All dust will buzz-off out of sight,
Traffic will happily move again like a scout!
It's a gesture every government promised,
But after every election we gravely missed,
However, today is that historic day,
The Road to remember and indefinitely cherished!
